Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Audience feedback is a crucial component of event planning, providing insights that help organizers design layouts that enhance comfort, accessibility, and engagement. In Gusau Local Government Area, Zamfara State, event organizers are increasingly recognizing the value of incorporating audience preferences into event layouts. According to Musa and Ahmed (2023), audience feedback helps identify potential challenges, such as overcrowding, poor visibility, and inadequate facilities, enabling organizers to make informed decisions. Despite its importance, the use of audience feedback in designing event layouts remains limited due to factors such as lack of systematic data collection and insufficient engagement with attendees. This study examines the role of audience feedback in designing event layouts, focusing on its application, benefits, and challenges in Gusau.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Event layouts significantly impact attendee experience, yet many events in Gusau fail to meet audience expectations due to inadequate consideration of feedback. This often results in issues such as poor seating arrangements, overcrowding, and logistical inefficiencies. While studies have highlighted the importance of audience engagement in event planning, limited research focuses on the specific role of audience feedback in designing event layouts in Gusau (Yusuf & Bello, 2024). This study addresses this gap by assessing the use of audience feedback in event layout design in Gusau Local Government Area.
1.3 Objectives of the Study

1.6 Significance of the Study

1.7 Scope and Limitations of the Study
The study focuses on the use of audience feedback in designing event layouts in Gusau Local Government Area, Zamfara State. It excludes other aspects of event planning and focuses specifically on layout design. Limitations may include variations in event types and access to audience feedback data.
